The brief
Fieldnote's beta testers loved the idea but struggled with the interface in the field: small buttons, too many menus and screens that were hard to read in sunlight.
What we did
We tested early prototypes with ecologists in the field, then designed a high-contrast interface with large controls, voice notes and offline maps.
